First off i'd like to say if anyone would like to give a critique I would very much appreciate it as im rather proud of this work but I would also like to see what others think I could improve on!)

This is a scene from my first session of my new campaign at DnD. We had to fight a displacer beast which was freakin awesome, but ended kinda sad DX not for us but for it. Anyways our sessions is full of beggingers, myself included, so many people dont have their characters fleshed out yet, so i was only managed to draw mine and afriends character (they understand dnd much better and are nit a beginner ). So that is my half orc babby boy zeph who is a fighter, his weapons include a lance and a sheild. My friends charcaters is a Aasimar sorcerer named Esthar. Ill be doing a drawing of them both some other time so you guys can see their full outfits.

I, am,,, not often proud of my drawings, but this one i am, especially in regards to how the beast came out and the scenery in the background and the poses of the characters. I am so proud of this piece. I love it to bits and i cant wait to show the rest of my party in our next session. Id also like to do more scenes and comic strips with our other party members once they have their characters fleshed out.

This scene in particlar esthar got badly injured by the beast after is teleported from its original location to up behind her, shes had been distracted after casting a spell to where it had originally been and hadnt heard it behind her. The (thorns/spikes/barbs) on the tendrils got her across her back. Our centaur character, was also surprised from the beast and before she could think her horse half bucked and caught it in its side making it turn away from esthar and turn its attention her her instead, my character zeph had been a few steps away behind esthar and while the beast was distracted he managed to rush over and in a quick notion of kneelling beside esthar now that she was on the ground , he put his sheild up with one arm as to block any tendrils that came at them from above as a means to half protect them both while with his other hand he thrusted his lance out into the beasts exposed side, he managed to do a lot of damage, getting it down to just 2 hit points away from defeat. I wont say how it ended just yet because i wantto have a go at drawing the scene first.

( the light in the bottom left is from the centaurs torch as she is the only character in our party that doesn't have Dark vision, which im glad for as I believe the two contrasts of lighting add to the scene being more dramatic. (white light from the moon tends to be more calming but orange light from a fire adds more well 'spark' - aggression, chaos- etc to scene)
