I know how much effort goes into making images like this, so I'd like to make it more worth your while. I have gotten pretty good at editing images using GIMP2.8 [link] and I have edited a few images for people here on dA.
I did a little test edit of this image and the results were promising. So if you'd like, I can edit this image for you and then send it back to you (I usually use a DropBox link, it's pretty easy to do.).
I enjoy editing and bringing images to their full glory so I don't ask for anything in return besides a credit for my editing and even then, I'm not too caring about that, although I appreciate it. Editing images for people is the way I've found to bring more people to my own page to see what I create and I feel it's a fair exchange.

I know right? Rendering is such a pain! I just tried my first one last night and it did nothing. The amounting of CPU power you need is kind of ridicules.
I do like this render though, it has a nice peaceful quality to it--something I haven't seen from most renders because they're almost always about strong colors and perfectly clear images; it gets old really fast.

how did you get the realistic water? I've been looking for a mod or a HD water affect.

It's not a mod. It's not even in minecraft. But there is a mod that changes the water. I don't know what it's called. Google "Minecraft Reflective Water"

I would try this again. But it would take days to get it just perfect. Since it rips from actual Minecraft and counts each block as 1 texture. I would have to manually select the sides of the grass blocks themselves and apply the side of the grass manually.. But I might try some renders inside of a cave, Or a mineshaft or something. Those are much smaller and would go easy on me. lol Thanks for the feedback though.
