Description
Another take on the leafy/flower combination on a dragon, this time in black, purple and blue. I like letting my alcohol ink sheets sit out for a few days (or weeks, eek) so that the color fades out of them even further - this gives the leafy bits a desaturated look that I find attractive, especially against such saturated clay colors as the black and purple here. Makes the raw clay stiff and brittle though, so while this is fine for flat pieces like the leaves, it makes it easy to break the flowers, as I like to turn up the petals on them to provide some extra dimension. It certainly helps to know how your materials behave so that you can get the exact look that you want.✪ Materials: Premo polymer clay, alcohol ink, microbeads, bugle beads
