Description I've been wanting to make a rich, dark-brown dragon for a long time. I've always thought it would look nice when paired up with cream or turquoise accents, but when I finally sat down to make this happen, I got distracted by my gold clay. Not that I'm complaining! It just looks so good paired up with the custom brown that I mixed up, I couldn't help myself. ^o^

I do love the matching gold hoop earrings on this one. :]

Crafted from colored Premo polymer clay.

Fun with custom-mixed colors

I really like the gold with the brown. It's different enough to stand out but also similar enough that it really compliments it, giving the dragon a very smooth, warm feeling. It also reminds me of chocolate which makes me what to eat some now .

These are amazing! My granddaughter makes little figurines also with clay. She's made a couple of dragons.  I showed her your figures to give her inspiration.  I like that you used a gloss coating on these. I would imagine that the gloss coating would help to adhere the little pieces better. My favorite of my granddaughter's is a octopus with a top hat and bow tie and monocle but one of his legs are coming off. Maybe a gloss coating would have prevented that.

Sorry for the super late response, but I wanted to mention that the gloss coating might help a little bit with strength, but you can still break polymer clay pretty easily, glazed or not. For pieces that are falling off, I recommend super glue (or any cyanoacrylate glue). It adheres really well to polymer clay and it's thin and clear so you pretty much won't even notice that your pieces were repaired. I hope that helps!

Gorgeous

Your hoop earring dragons always make me think pirate for some reason (must be the 'rakish' look), and this one looks like a captain to me, with all that gold!
