I really like your fig-photos, but I have a question: why did you use such a high ISO (3200)? My aim is always a low ISO for better sharpness and less noise. Keep up your good work

That would be called not paying attention to my settings before shooting! Haha. These images were spur of the moment in bad lighting while I was preparing for company.

Once I downloaded them I though, "DOH!"

I mostly self taught for camera work so I am always learning something new.

When they are tree ripened perfectly the inside is a very dark rich reddish purple color. They are delicately sweet. The ones photographed here aren't perfectly ripe.

I am making fresh figs stuffed with herbed goats milk brie drizzled with a balsamic reduction sauce and raw honey for company this evening.

believe it or not, this is the first time I have seen a fig that isn't in the form of a newton.

Really? These are store bought which aren't really as ripe as they should be yet. They are delicious fresh when they are ripened on the tree and the insides are dark red.
