Hahaha
Based on financial logistics rather than on criteria of academic excellence, the ATHENA scheme of the Greek government regarding University Education calls for the merging of the Departments of English, French, German, Italian, and Spanish Languages and Literatures, into a single “Department of Foreign Languages and Literature”at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
The above Departments have a long-standing tradition in teaching and research within the framework of autonomous programmes of academic studies. Teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate level, as well as research in these Departments, covers distinct disciplines of literary and theoretical/applied linguistic studies, always in fruitful dialogue with the sociocultural context in which these disciplines develop. The ATHENA scheme will turn our Departments into a huge and misleadingly-named new “Department of Foreign Languages and Literature,” with five language-based “directions”. Inevitably, this will lead to language degrees with limited value, lack of educational standards and professional training.
Therefore, we the professorial staff of the aforementioned Departments are opposed to the proposed merger and request from the Minister of Education to respect and preserve each Department’s autonomy, tradition and its valuable contributions to society and the European mission.
HOWEVER, we had our building (us, the students) occupated for a month and we acted a lot, so the Education Minister had to take it back.
But now we have to remake the lost hours, so....
Long comment is long

Lol, I know. And the irony is that we studied our asses of. The Department of English Language and Literature demands almost perfect grades. And it is a really good Department. Likely, we saved it!
But hey, I live in Greece. Obviously the Ministers are crazy. Or scums. >.>

*Lui è mezzo...
Sei veramente brava!
Mi piacerebbe sapere scrivere in greco come tu scrivi in italiano!
There was only a very small mistake!
you are great!! I thought you were italian when I read the first sentence you wrote in my language!
Let's look at the positive side: things suck now, so they can only get better in the future

Sì, è bello ...! Gironzoliamo accanto ad esso nei giorni di sole
È come ogni altra città greca, quindi sì, è caldo, ma non troppo
Ah, instructors are dumb -.- Our "professora" of Italian failed a girl on our semester exams. The girl has italian roots, so she speaks Italian. She asked her what is wrong with her paper. The professor admited that she had wronged her, but she said "either way, I faiied you know, so you'll have to retake the exam on September, but I will fail you again"
I mean, dafuq?
I hope for your sake the next instructor will be good

Yeah, I think that Alessandra (the girl who failed) told me that she had actually passed the exam with an eight-nine, but she gave her a four
Teachers are awful -.- I hope that if I come to teach someday, I won't be like that ;X
Yup, I understand! And if I have something I don't know, I ask Andrea He's my two-legged italian vocabulary

No, pensavo di venirci in ottobre, magari l'anno prossimo.
Ad aprile vado in vacanza per quattro giorno, e non avendo molti soldi non posso fare due vacanze nello stesso anno!
We have something like that too but I don't want to leave. I am not a romantic person, but I think I won't be happy without my boyfriend.. I can't stay a week without meeting him O.ò
And I would miss Italy.
Many things suck here but I cannot stay away from here too much without feeling homesick!
