So, I used a screen shot of Lance as a base for Liath, and somehow managed to make him look similar to a disney princess.Princess Klance.

I just love that he dispite being a fusion its not just part keith and part lance. Its his own thing.
For example the fusions on SU you can see traces of the gems that made the fusion but it still look like its own gem.

That's what I was going for! Liath may be a fusion of Keith and Lance but he's his own person at the end of the day!
He's sort of like the Garnet of Voltron.

Speaking of garnet I have a fanfiction that's been on my head for a long time.
Just like leith. Klance is a perma-garnet-like fusion of keith and lance. Everything is exactly the same like in canon. Basicaly a canon-divergence fic. His backstory is this.
A 6 year old lance plays in the forest near the park he and his family are and stumbled into a crying 6 year old keith. Saying that he can't finds his momma and pappa. Long story short he ended up living with the McClains. 2 years latter the two confess they love eachother and dance. Ending up fusing. Everyone freaked out a bit but klance said he wanted to stay like this. Lance's older brother gave them the name klance. And ever sinse they have stayed fused for years all the way to the garrison. No one knew they were a fusion. Its not that he was keeping it a secret. He just forgot. Even lance's parents forgot to tell that to the people who work at the garrison.
The only thing that can unfuse them are fatal injuries. Istead of killing him it just unfuses keith and lance. On the plus side it doesnt matter how much damage klance took keith and lance dont have a scratch on them.
Emotional turmoil also unfuses them.
The paladins stay the same. Shiro hunk and pidge keep their lions
Klance gets red and matt gets blue. He espcaed along with shiro. They were cellmates when ulaz helped them escape.
Red will only let klance pilot her not keith, not lance only klance.

During the season that Shiro is missing(season 3) klance is gone the entire season sinse the keith part that made klance was very attached to Shiro. Making Lance think he was falling for him. Making them realise that they like all couples can't stay glued to eachother forever and that bad times are an inevitable thing with coiples.

My reason why they fused is this. Fusing is a martial arts technique(that what they called it but it's actually a human dna thing) as old as the mediaeval times. Its was used in wars as a secret weapon or for weak soldier to make stronger ones.
But over times less people were able to use it. Its because it ended up beoming a recessive and/or dormant gene.

IkeI said it's been in my head. And im trying to keep as much as similar to the real show. Literaly the only diference is matt is the blue paladin and klance the fusion. The rest is the same. Now the problem is trying to keep that way without going too out of canon.

That blue picked him because of his will. Another one is patience, or adaptability.

For a name Lyrics can be good inspiration like 'Out of Red and Blue'
And adaptability is a really good reason, as Lance was really adaptable as well as Allura, but Will and Persistance are great reasons too
