Description Posterra has many settlements, but most of them are in various state of disarray, destitution and ramshackle happy-go-lucky gung-ho approach to city planning. Some do better than others, like the famous Wharf Town, a true smidgen of peace and order, when others are merely a bunch of eclectic structures where various folk leave together in state of perpetual promise of violence. But there is one city forgotten by nearly everyone, the record of its existence a paragraph in lost books and data spools - Phagia, the Molecular Utopia, the Perfect City of the tiniest of beings. They live in near complete isolationism clad in an immortal armour of a virus, custom-crafted in bygone era to sustain itself and the city bound inside for eterenity, providing sustenance and energy to the high-tech habitat of the Molecular Tribe. To this day they exist somewhere in Posterra, floating on the wind or perhaps in the droplet of a forgotten sewer, extracting all they need from a bacterial prey...

I don’t know why but to me it makes me think of those things from Steven Universe

Well because the thngs from Steven Universe are based on a bacteriophage virus.

It is pretty harmless, its primary mission protecting and feeding the city.

That's such an interesting concept! A moving city!

Moving cities ain't a new idea by far, but I thought it's fresh to make them tiny like that.

It might, but it's a bacteriophage and so it can help y'all with some bad infection.

BACTEROPHAGE. I've worked with them and today they very well be the new form of Medicine to replace Anti-biotics which are beginning to falter due evolving resistance of bacteria to poor use of anti-biotics by both uninformed public and lazy pharmaceuticals/medical practices. They're quite useful and have been around for ages they're the natural predator of BacteriaΒ

The most powerful monster that exists in the real world is a tiny deadly virus

hubertspala In reply to AndreNitro [2019-08-12 07:12:22 +0000 UTC]

Sure, but these guys are our friends - they can kill off bacteria that got immunity to antibiotics.

AndreNitro In reply to hubertspala [2019-08-12 18:41:34 +0000 UTC]

Also true, but getting a deadly virus like ebola is probably the worst way to die.
