Long before time, long before life, the was Ngyr-Korath. It was the penultimate abomination, the anti-life, the finality of all that exists - the Dream-Death. It existed in a cold void, perfect and stagnant with its emptiness, and it was good for Ngyr-Korath. But the void was struggling with inert potency and soon the great reality took shape - gases and metals, heat and energy. Galaxies coalesced and within them, planets and stars blinked into existence. It was a turbulent time for the mist of death, but alas, all of it was still merely matter - dead and proper. Soon though, with merely a few billion years, life emerged. Life! Chaotic, unruly, lunatic. With dreams that made new realms, with thoughts bending the fabric of creation. These… intelligence were surely a glitch, a mistake. A collection of unplanned specks to be cleaned. And so, Ngyr-Korath set to its work - the eradication of all life, from the entirety of the cosmos. The plan was grand, as there were other Great Entities with their own schemes and machinations, and so, the Dream-Death spawned from itself a new being, an entity of guile and deceit, formed from potent malignancy to counter the newfound offenders with their own weapon - sterling intelligence, flashing of brilliance. With plans and studies. And so, ‘Ymnar was made, the agent of penultimate end, cast upon the living to undo them, taking on new personas in the fleeting ages of mortals, each inventing devious devices of mass extinction, politics of hatred and spite, crafting countless genocides and implementing self-destruction into the very fabric of the societies it infiltrates…
