Description
Aerial roots of mangroves located in the Bamen bay area of Wenchang city. Mangroves(红树, Rhizophora apiculata) are trees that can live in the sea and are found in the intertidal zones along the coast of tropical regions. Mangroves can anchor intertidal soils and protect coastal areas from storms and tsunamis.
