It takes a lot of practice! If you have the motivation and time you'll see yourself improving in no time. Take advantage of the internet and what others can teach you.

I've been drawing for almost 6 years and yet still I seem stuck. Thank you for the advice! Almost everything I've learned is something I've seen on Pinterest or DeviantArt. I don't have anybody to teach me (well no one that is willing to, because I have a lot of artistic friends just none of them like to teach)

I understand what you mean. I'm entirely self-taught as well. What's important to remember is not he number of years you've been drawing, but how many hours you invest in a day and how many days a week you put towards drawing. If no one will teach you, then teach yourself through speedpaints and internet tutorials. I get a lot of mine from Tumblr. Like I said, it all takes practice and repetition.
