Smart || Positive || Possessing a natural knack for matters of the mind, Navi greatly enjoys tasks that challenge her ever-developing mind. While she is skilled in combat, Navi finds greater strength in wisdom and therefore can often be found studying.
Dedicated || Positive || Both towards her Jedi training and any other task she sets herself to, Navi is not easily dissuaded and therefore usually accomplishes what she starts. This attitude has won her many a victory in many areas, and overall makes her quite the adept pupil.
Serious || Neutral || While Navi’s serious mindset makes handling difficult situations easier for the Padawan, this lack of humor can also cause Navi to stress herself to a breaking point. She tends to take to matters with too controlling of a nature, and can even end up spoiling a mission with her stress of the details.

History
BEFORE BIRTH || It’s no wonder Navi is an ambitious young woman- one need only look to her parents to see where such motivations come from. Nellina Esi and Avi Phe were two individuals determined to do all they could to serve the people of their home planet of Bimmisaari, a quaint society of two biologically unrelated species that shared the same name and culture. Both Nellina and Avi were members of the furred variation of Bimm, but the two commonly worked alongside the more human-looking Bimm as there were no divides between the two kinds except for the fact that the two different species could not reproduce. This interconnectedness ran all the way up into the Bimmisaari system of law, as the planet was governed by a council of Law Elders. Nellina and Avi had both known each other for many years when they finally raised to the rank of Law Elders, and, seeing it fit, soon after their election the two married. They combined their last names of Esi and Phe to create the family of Esiphe, and soon Nellina bore a daughter. Keeping with their personal tradition of combining names, Nellina and Avi called their first child Allina.
While Nellina and Avi both kept busy with their work as Law Elders, the early years of their career still saw much free time as to raise a child in. Allina grew up relatively happy, although as she matured into a young teen, she was saddened to see less and less of her parents. Without anyone to dote upon her throughout the day, at the age of sixteen Allina could already be considered an adult by her forced maturity level.
EARLY CHILDHOOD || Allina was upset when she learned of her mother’s second pregnancy- not due to a childish jealousy of having to share her lifestyle with a younger sister, but because she had long-since realized the abandoned state she had been left in by the age of sixteen and did not wish for this future child to bear the same fate. Unable to stop her parents’ plans, however, Allina soon became the eldest sibling by sixteen years. Immediately, Allina fell in love.
Named Navi in a similar fashion of combining the parents’ names, the youngest Esiphe family member brought great joy to their household. The two Law Elders had been on the council long enough to become high-ranking members of society, and now, with the addition of their newest family member, the two parents finally made the switch to a bigger house. Allina was thrilled at first with the near-palace that they lived in, but even despite the constant presence of the staff they had hired to help care for both the house and the two girls who lived within it, Allina soon found the home to be dreadfully empty. Despite having hired a nanny to care for Navi while the two parents were away at first, Allina soon found herself filling her time by caring for her younger sister, and as time passed, Allina came to view Navi more as her own daughter than a sibling. This imprintation carried into the young girl’s mind as well, as Navi began to treat her biological mother as a stranger the few times she would come to visit the child. Nellina and Avi had no problem with Navi’s detachment, however, so deeply involved in their work lives now that it came to be somewhat of a relief that their parental duties had been taken over by their own neglected daughter. And so, when Navi was discovered to be force-sensitive, Allina refused to allow her parents to be the ones to decide her younger sister’s fate.
Many in the galaxy view the Jedi as a dead or useless order, but not the Bimm. It was common for those of their culture to view the order as a great grouping of heroes, and Navi’s parents were no different. And so, when Navi was discovered to be adept in the Force at the age of five, they immediately sent away for Navi to be brought to a Jedi temple. Allina, however, upon hearing the news that her sister would be stripped away from her shortly, was furious. Navi had become her life at this point; no matter how supposedly great these Jedi were, Allina could never allow Navi to become one of them. The eldest sister quarreled with their parents, but when they were unrelenting in their decision, Allina embarked down a desperate path. The night before a Jedi was scheduled to come and take Navi away, Allina stole the child and ran away with her into a terrible storm.
At first, Navi was terrified, crying out and waking the entire household as a mysteriously cloaked figure leapt from the balcony and clutched her tight as she ran from the city. When they reached the outskirts, however, the figure revealed itself to be her older sister, who promised that she was protecting Navi from a vague threat known as the Jedi. Grateful that she was in no real danger, Navi gladly spent the night in an abandoned cave with her sister. At one point, the rain even let off and allowed fireflies to dance about in the night air, and Allina had never been happier as she sat at the mouth of the cave and watched her five year old sister stumble along, giggling and attempting to catch the floating stars.
As another bout of rain settled in, however, the two were forced back inside, and eventually fell asleep with Allina holding Navi in her arms. The combination of their slumber and the cover of the rain allowed the guards of the town to sneak up on the two, however, and Navi was suddenly forced awake as she was ripped from her sister’s arms. Screaming and kicking, Navi was brought back to her parents, with the last glimpse of her sister ever being the other guards closing in on a panicked Allina.
LIFE AS A YOUNGLING || The very next day, the Jedi came and took Navi away to the temple. Of course, Navi did not wish to go along, but weary from the night’s adventures, Navi reluctantly obeyed- and she remained in a reluctant state of obedience for a long while. It wasn’t until the Jedi masters started to speak with her and get to know her did she break out of her shell, and as they learned her history they taught her the other side of the story- that to go untrained in her abilities could lead in a path towards the dark side, and that her sister should have consulted the Jedi about her fears. Ultimately, Navi chose no side. She merely forgave both parties and while she kept a strong love for her sister in her heart, she also grew to be a fiercely loyal Jedi and swore to do everything within her power to become the best she could possibly be.
PADAWAN NAVI || Navi has now been a Padawan for several years, traversing the galaxy with an… interesting mentor who has taught her many aspects and perspectives of the Force. Navi has left her old life behind, seeing it merely as a chapter to a story that she bears no attachment to. In her absence, however, Allina was arrested and now lives as a prisoner due to her crimes of kidnapping and her later outbursts against her Law Elder parents. Moving on from their “failed” eldest daughter and virtually nonexistent second one, the two parents have now bore a third child. The fate of her family, however, seems to be something that Navi will never learn of.
