A man of science with magical abilities that he STILL wouldn't put much faith in.
The way he utilizes them is by harnessing the magic lightning to power his armor, which gives it really strange abilities.

Thanks! That is along the lines I was thinking, but I always felt the real weakness of armored heroes was their vulnerable human selves. Steel's armor could be considered low tech compared to Iron Man's so he gains an edge in having super strength and durability. He forges and cast's the armor with the magic lightning so everything is deliberate and upgradeable.

Nice, I like the style,fits Steel perfectly but the only thing I can actually say that could be constructive is that there is no Captain Marvel save the color scheme and the bolt in the middle... It is like if Steel was saved by Captain Marvel instead of Superman, not in really a combination of the two...

You forgot his arm and leg bands. I also figured just because you add something new you don't forget the old, thus the incorporation of the Superman shield into the design. Also he would transform from normal to this by the SHAZAM shout, so that's what I was thinking, I was also thinking of Black Adam whose costume is black. Thanks! :0
