I'm going to make my "dream plushie" with this pattern! You can too! I put my watermark in red because it's a hummingbird's favorite color! That's why most feeders and flowers you can put in your garden are this color! Red is my favorite color too! I tried my best to squeeze my pattern on to one page! Remember to print it big or enlarge the pattern yourself by tracing around the shapes until you get the size of the shapes you want! Hummingbirds are tiny, so keep your plush small, if desired. Oh yeah... There are such things as giant hummingbirds, I've heard of one being the size of a small sparrow! (or maybe it was the beak size??)Credit me if you make a hummingbird plushie if you are using my pattern to make your own!

I might make this someday. I had this little finger puppet plushie of Pocahontas' pet hummingbird as a kid and thanks to it, I went for many years thinking that hummingbirds did not have feet. I lost that plushie over the years or gave it away and want to get another one on Ebay or something and when I do, I'm going to give the poor thing some feet and use this pattern. I'll even use this to make him a friend.

Don't know when I will even get it started but I will let you know. I wish I had a video camera on me when we lived out in the country and this one hummingbird would actualy peek in the windows and watch us. I would sit near the feeder in a red shirt and he would actualy get within inches of my face and "yell" at me.

Cool! That's great! I've looked a male ruby-throat in the eyes before and he was a few inches from my face! Can't wait to see you make a hummingbird with my pattern! If you have to add parts, that's okay. This was an early pattern I made and it might need to be tweaked.

I want to try and find a material, like the tail and wing tips on the plushie I had as a kid. I have some red and some purple and the red would be perfect for a ruby throat. [link] The pic dosen't really pic up on how shiny I remember it being as a kid but you can get an idea from it. You can see why I thought hummingbirds did not have feet for the longest time.
