This should definitely be your featured deviation.

Out of the shots I've seen so far, this is definitely the best.

You. Are. Awesome.

ACk! Forgot the border. I do it for b/w but forget about the color.

The negative had tons of dust. I get so impatient with it! Thanks for commenting!

i know what you mean, i still use negative films, expecially 6x6 format...

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

humminggirl In reply to minotauro9 [2006-06-08 14:26:51 +0000 UTC]

I wanted to graduate to bigger formats but never found the right camera.

Do you have a darkroom? That is the biggest hurdle for me. I have to rent an enlarger. It is has been a long time since I had that kind of time!!

minotauro9 In reply to humminggirl [2006-06-08 14:38:56 +0000 UTC]

No, i haven't. i can use one of my friend, but most of the times i end to scan the neg and work on it digitally

I'm a fan of both digital and film! I wish I had the time for more film.

np!

I have used disposable and my mom's nice film camera which a few of my photos came from...btu I mostly work with digital (one day my EOS 20D *shakes fist* XD)

but I really want to get into film too so I can work with both...and if I take photography classes in school in a few years...I'm have a little experience..

I wish I had the money though lol. So my film developing and buyig will be slow rofl

but ah well...price to pay

GReat film photos you have btw! What did you use?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

humminggirl In reply to Lolitadoll305 [2006-06-08 02:32:24 +0000 UTC]

When I took photography classes film was all there was. It is a laborius process...I never got the hang of developing film but loved loved the dark room. There is where a lot of the magic happens. Unfortunately you can spend hours and hours and not get a good print, whereas the time on digital is faster.

All my old stuff is film, which I'll be posting soon (day by day). My future stuff will probably be digital until I win the lottery and can spend all my time in the darkroom!

Lolitadoll305 In reply to humminggirl [2006-06-08 13:03:03 +0000 UTC]

rofl! I need to make me a darkroom or something!

Yeah I havn't seen a photography class where there was digital being used. So I should get started now lol. But I need money as always...this lottery thing ain't so bad! Maybe I should try it ^_~ rofl

and since I've done nothing but a few film photos and the rest digital....I spend hours and hours at the computer instead...woring on editing them in photoshop....^_^ my electronic darkroom! ^_^

Well, you know how the joke goes...

How do you make a million in photography? You start out with 2 million.

I used to do everything in b/w because I didn't know how to color print on my own (and never found a decent place). I will always love b/w.

That is just plain brilliant! Kids make some of the best photos.

Also, horrah for Ilford films and papers, wouldn't use anything else!

Lovely!

They make the best photos -- if I can get them to keep still. I have many photos from this shoot, many of them nothing but a blur!

one more good one from you. i am glad you share them
i like the scene! but i keen to know if it is a natural scene or set up by you?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

humminggirl In reply to Grigas [2006-06-07 19:05:38 +0000 UTC]

This is just the bedroom of a run-down apartment we used to have! No studio, just the bed (threw off the comforter) and window. You can see the mold on some of the window corners I think.

Thanks.

Grigas In reply to humminggirl [2006-06-08 04:41:12 +0000 UTC]

yeah, i get it but i also want to know if you made her to pose OR you just noticed her looking through a window?
