Description One of the last traditional paintings I ever did. This dates back to early 2004 (if memory serves me correctly) and was painted with acrylics over an initial fine liner drawing. I later scanned in a color copy and tweaked the background in photoshop to throw it back and create more of an illusion of depth. But basically it is a traditional piece.
Anyone who knows London will recognise the location from the building in the background to be right next to the Houses of Parliament. Not so long before I did this painting I had been an extra in zombi flick 'Shaun of the Dead' I kinda had that in mind whilst doing this piece.

Nicely detailed and colored. I really like the character work and expressions. Very good setting and depth.

Pretty cool!
So, were you a zombie in Shaun of the Dead?

Only in a blink and you'll miss it bit. I was right at the back of a load of extras and I didn't even have any zombie makeup on. However, there is a closeup of the back f my head when Shaun gets off a bus and talks to his old friend. I am the Road construction worker in the extreme foreground as the camera follows Shaun from the bus.Not much of a clam to fame, but it was a fun day nonetheless.

I can relate to that man
nice work
this one must have taken you a bit of time to finish.

Use to hate using acrylics in my air brushes, plugged up even with flushing them steady and running the paint through fliters.... humidity here plays havoc with the paint... would love to show you some of my work but 99% of it went on walls, hockey helmets, skateboards, etc. foolishly I never took photo's of them.... but that's the days before digi cameras.

It took me about five days as I remember - but not exactly working flat out.

Cheers. You can see how my style is quite different now.
This painting took about five times (maybe longer) as long to do as any of my digital paintings.
