Looks interesting, the colours of Autumn trees suggest a cool temperature, yet they are in what looks like a desert. The colour harmonies are very nice !

It's far from a desert, and it was pretty cool the day I took the shot. The Northern Plains are dry, but aren't even considered semi-arid. Won't be too much longer until the snow starts to fall and the temps drop below 0 F.

I guess it just look deserted as the grass is dead...it usually dies in very cold weather, I bet the scenery would look very different when the snow melts and waters the grass.
