The train looks great, esp. as you can see the heat rising from the top. I would have liked a little more sky, but I realize that is not what you were aiming for.
The gold of the hills just screams Eastern Montana.

I love it that you keep coming up with new angles that add interest and emotion to the shot. I have been trying hard lately to try and inclde the crew in my pix... somehow it makes it less a shot of a machine and more a shot of people hard at work.

I agree with that. But usually unless they lean out and wave you almost never get the crew in the shot.

there's a shot that Trains Mag is using for advertising... see inside front cover March 2008... I've been trying to capture something like that.

Really neat lighting, great shot! I love the smoke blurring out the top, I always think that's such a neat thing.
