Thanks! I thought it'd be appropriate since lupines use rather physically demanding hunting techniques (no weaponry to aid them) and also because they eat such high protein diet!
Also I am hoping to base the physical appearance of the anthro creatures in my setting to that of their animal counterparts and Wolves seem to be quite lean and well build creatures compared to bears for example that are more bulky kind of strong in their build.

Well, War is allways a horror for both sides. Tho I wish for justice I would not wish any Leonine Population these horrors, their towns put to the torch and their people massacred in the streets. Nobody deserves this.

yup :/ and majority of the leonines probably cares very little of the diffrences between the races and are more interested simply having a fresh start and a new home somewhere..

At some point I think that many Leonines and Lupines don´t even know of each-other. Or that there is a conflict. Otherwise many Pack-Alphas might have urged their Packs to move further south to avoid contact and conflict.

yup, they don't know each other much at all, many lupine packs were so off the map or separative that they didn't even know the existence of leonines until they got much closer or until it was too late (like Shadow and his pack)

I think this a major problem for the Leonines in the future, they don´t make a difference between the many Packs, if they had treated seperatly and not as a whole a lot of problems could have been avoided.

I don't think he should trust these guys. What if their bad wolves? For an example don't take random candy from strangers. Most importantly, dont except a pack you met like 4 mutinies ago!

this really reminds me when Hernan Cortes invaded Mexico,they started killing native mexicans,but one guy wanted to stop that,and they started gathering mexicans and defatted them!!!!!! too alike!!!!

There are similarities yes 
But if I remember correctly Aztecs lost to Cortes and his men in the end. Though Cortes did not gain the victory alone. He got allies from the people who Aztecs had subdued, which was a very good luck for him. Though, Cortes and his men were driven out once from the City of Aztecs in the beginning, after Montezuma's death and when his brother was in rule.
This story is only inspired by many historical events so it is not reaslly based on any particular one.. so you can't really know the ending yet

A German proverb says "You can see the true friends in the emergency". With the Big Pack was more out of necessity the many small Pack, the invaders were too weak to withstand.
However I'm not sure about the motives of big alpha, maybe the lupines will kill also mercilessly every leonie as the leonies did at the lupines, under his command, they will encounter. Same whether it collects the weapons against them or not. We'll see how that develops.

Well the invaders still probably outnumber them as they have more cities and men to the north :/ but maybe against the fort at least the forces will be more even.
But joining up together is none the less something that is needed, a necessity as you said.
true, many times if one feels they are treated with injustice the become angry and start to hate those doing the injustice.. and depending how much hatred there is they might start treating them as lesser just like leonines are doing to lupines.
It might also be, that just like shadow was comitted to have justice and revenge.. this might also be personal for this alpha, wanting justice and revenge (if his relatives were killed) and maybe even power.
but we will see about that.

Yeah, sounds reasonable. Basically casualties happened, then
they concluded and then they formed a bigger group. It is
basically what would happen in such cases. I mean, who would
not be in shock and then in anger, if he or she sees all those
slain by an invading force.
Also, the many different lupines and their details are pretty
funny. Old grump with stick certainly stands out from all
the young ones.

I wanted to draw elderly lupines for a long time, Shadow's pack's alpha was..old-ish but not really that old.. so yeah..
there is two of them, there's one on 4th panel (male one and he has a stick too) and then there is the female one on the last panel
