Who died?
I wasn't sure how to name this, but sun set and grave(death) both are endings..sooo... that's how I came up with the name!
Or maybe you see a sun rise here instead and this is one of those moments that is both an ending and a beginning. Oh well...
I suddenly got inspired to draw on a black paper and made a fairly quick drawing. I got an idea of a ending moment for a fairy tale with a theme "too late", where knight arrives to save the day.. only to find out he is too late, so instead of riding to the sun set with his love he will ride there alone and bury his love as the sun sets... however in the end I didn't want to name this work "too late" as I wanted to leave the interpretation of the story behind this more open...and I kinda didn't think that name -"Too late" would have fit.
I haven't drawn horses in a long time! God I loved it!.. got a lot to learn still, and my humans.. god.. my human drawing skills, I really want to improve them, and I will! ...slowly but steady...

Hmm... I might say that the horse and man look quite good for something
you haven't drawn that often. Also, the black paper helps to create a dark
scenery. Like literally dark.
The thing is probaly that you took something, which usually end well like
fairy tales and make it end sad in your concept.
It is perhaps more in the spirit of Dark Romanticism, than fairy tales were,
but it kinda gives away the feeling of everything being finite.

I actually like fairy tales and prefer happy endings (as in real I think they do not exist at all) but yeah.. when it comes to drawing I actually like this more of "dark romanticism" equally

Nice! Β Very unique. Β I would never have thought of starting on a black background. Β Is this on black paper with pastels, a chalkboard, or something else?

Thanks! I like black paper works but in the end I thought that maybe this works would have looked better on white paper.. then again I like how dark it turned out this way. This is colored pencils on black paper

thanks! I am really happy to hear that you think my human drawing skills have improved, I have 3 comic characters I created long ago which are human, only recently I sort of re-discovered them and now I am hoping to improve my human drawing skills enough to draw them in mini comics

thanks, I'm glad to hear you think that, but honestly there is much for me to improve and not only in drawing horses and humans, also drawing wolves and anthors and.. anything, there is almost always something to improve when it comes to art and drawing
