Made for AnimeContestGalore 's Mini-Challenge Monday!~ 6/20 - 6/24Keyword: OC/Anime turned Neko / Nekomimi
I thought of drawing kura instead of killua (who is like a cat) and zazie (who is a cat lol) because I remembered the old lady at the beginning of the exams calling him cat-eyed boy =3=
I like Kurapika with blue eyes because it's a huge contrast to his red and makes his red eyes prettier XD

Don't remember if cat-eyed boy was said in 2011, but I'm pretty sure it was. Sounds familiar. His eyes are grey in 2011 though. Or bluish grey. Kurapika wears a sweat suit (with sleeves) in 2011 though.

2. Well, Spider-Man is a human who just has a spider emblem on his disguise and spider-like abilities. Kurapika might have a problem with the emblem, but then again, Spidey's not exactly a pushover. Superhuman strength and endurance and such.

Only reason I thought Killua is actually because you mentioned him in that Wukong voice question. Also Leorio's not as cute as the other three, but I like his character as much as the others.
Who are your favourite characters? Just in general. I think we all know Lag, Len and now Kurapika. I'm sure that's not it.

Well, you already mentioned the top 3. Kurama (YYH)
Sakura (CCS), Usagi (Sailormoon) - mostly because they're that ones who piqued my interest in drawing. I can't think of anyone else... oh! Gilbert Nightray (Pandora Hearts) and Nezumi (No.6) but not as much as the top 6...
I think I actually have favorite characters for each series. Like how Morgiana is my fav in Magi and Bakura in Yugioh.

I know it was cause you thought the voice fit, but it was the only character besides Gon that I knew about.
Obviously you'll have a favourite character in a series. But my favourite characters overall... well, that'd be a very strange and disparate list. Ones that immediately jump to mind... Link from the Legend of Zelda series, particularly his younger versions, um... Mega Man from the Mega Man Classic series, Tails from the Sonic the Hedgehog series, Damian Wayne from Batman (or really DC), and Astro from Astro Boy. Len too. Um... the Doctor from Doctor Who, primarily his 11th incarnation. Dr. Doom from Marvel, the comic version of Hiro (in case you're wondering) is mostly supporting so there's not really enough of him around to really say whether I like him or not. I like my version though.
Killua and Gon from HxH are on the list. Tied, because I can't choose between them. Probably April from TMNT 2012 I think, but tied with the turtles and Casey. I tend to like pretty much all the heroes of whatever I watch. Except Black Butler, where I hated them all instead (but still liked watching it, very strange masochistic pleasure from that show).

Grell was a fun villain I guess, and he does put some starch in the main characters. Undertaker didn't have much role when I sort of gave up watching. Don't know a 'Doll' either.

Undertaker has a huge role and knows about Ciel's parents death. He's a former shinigami.
doll is from the 3rd season which actually followed the manga story. He's a circus performer acting as a girl. The circus arc is fun because you get to see Ciel trying to act as your average kid (not the elite brat that he is). Until his asthma attacks, that is.lol

Nope. Book of Circus is an adaptation of the Noah's Ark Circus Arc of the manga. It's only 10 episodes though. But it's great because Snake was introduced. He got hired at Ciel's manor afterwards.
Then there was 2 part OAV - book of murder and a new movie hopefully next year, book of Atlantis.

I'd say the book of murder is good. I watched it in english dub. Though I didn't like how they dubbed/translated how Snake talks.
I still prefer him to talk from his snakes views rather than him dubbing his snakes. If you are getting confused, Snake talks via his pet snakes. Something like: "I hate you, said Emily. You are annoying, Bob said" rather than saying: "I hate you" and "You are annoying" in 2 different voices. It gets confusing specially if you don't know the character. Plus I think the prior is rather cute

Meh, doubt I'll watch it. I liked the Ciel in Wonderland thing because it was mostly silly, and ended showing that Ciel does feel guilty about his evil actions. Doesn't stop, but at least he's not all rotten. And I liked that 'Making Of' thing because it's just silly and nothing else. But overall I have trouble stomaching the characters in Black Butler for too long, because they get on my nerves without anyone to counterbalance them (which was the whole point of Thomas originally). It's just like "This kid's an asshole, he's supported by a demonic git, and a bunch of wussy ass servants who do nothing to help him". Actually, if you read the regeneration story I uploaded, it contained my take on the relationship between Ciel and the human servants, basically pointing out that they actually love him because they do so without a contract or expecting anything in return. Entirely unconditional. While Sebastian's, well, an evil demon who doesn't actually care about anyone besides himself.
Honestly, if I were writing (and hey, I probably will be, Cyril remember), I'd have actually placed the demon butler as the source of the problems, including the dead parents.

I think you underestimated Ciel's servants too much. Especially Finnian. He's far more than enamored to Ciel. They see Ciel as someone giving them a 2nd shot at life. Ciel? An asshole? Think twice. Like I said, story has gone far from where you have left. Ciel shows he's just a kid, a fragile human at that during the Green Witch arc. To the point that he admitted he was nothing without his servants.
That would work. But I'd love to have Sebastian develop a human heart before revealing that.

Not talking about combat. I'm talking about helping Ciel realize how much he's messed up by letting a demon manipulate him. Sebastian's only helped to make Ciel's trauma and depression worse, or at the very least prevented it from healing.
Ahem, not Sebastian in that case. Royalty-free Sebastian. Sebastian I don't have to pay for and can do what I want with. I don't do sympathetic demons, even Cyrus is pretty devoid of a sympathetic side despite being rogue. Suppose I might create a false sympathetic side and then smash it.

I don't think the servants realize that Sebastian was a demon. And like I said, he's gotten over this trauma. I actually think Ciel is using Sebastian as an excuse to move forward.
That's what I'm hinting at. The demon would somehow get the audience sympathy then reveal afterwards that the tragedy was his own doing. Not just playing with the protagonist's emotions but with the audience's as well.

As long as he has Sebastian, he's not moving forward. That was kind of the reason I had Ciel say good-bye to his servants, for good, in the Regeneration story. And that whole Regeneration story can still work with name changes, since it's so divorced from the source material anyways.
