Hey guys, this is a gift for my good friend Mel, or as you guys know her.I have been meaning to draw her something for ages, and today was the first I have drawn for ages, and this is the result!
So Mel I hope you like it, and I hope everyone else does as well.

I have not done a comic before, as I have never been asked to do one.
If I were to do one I would need to know what was needed to be drawn, and how big the comic would be.

So, what type of comic would you like drawn? A simple comic, or a realistically drawn comic with drawings such as this one in it? Also, how many pages do you think you will want drawn.

It highly depends, mate! Its a very special story that I want drawn in the Death Note style.. It might have a few pages.. about 30 maybe? The entire way the comic is drawn is in a Death Note manner, aswell the story.

Ok, that's really great information. Also, did you have an idea on the characters you wanted to include? As in, did you want me to draw Death Note characters or have you drawn your own. And, have you already written the story, or did you need me to write it? And did you want it coloured, shaded like this drawing, or line art style?

If you read Death Note you are aware of the very shadowy and special way that the author draws everything in. The story is taking place in the Death Note universe featuring a very different sort of person (Sort of like Lawliet and Near) who finds himself in mental battle against someone, even though he wanted no part in it. His thing is video games (like near has toys and L has sweets) His hair is black like L's but its much more puffy and curly, more messy aswell. He wears a black shirt black pants and white socks (No shoes ofc!!) the story is currently working on but as a start please try and draw this L looking character. Remember he doesnt have the black bags under his eyes, he has more closed eyes with a sort of dead look in them, unlike L whose eyes are very open.

Now that I know exactly what you want, I can give you an estimate.
I will be honest with you, if you would like a 30 page comic, it will not be very cheap for me to draw it for you.
If you want a 30 page comic, I will probably ask for around $200 (250 coloured)
If you want it in a hurry it will probably cost $250 dollars (275 coloured).
A lot of work goes into drawing a 30 page comic.
But if you just wanted a 10 page comic, it will probably cost around $90 ($100) colured
And a 5 page comic around $50 ($60 coloured)
All costs are with the material cost included.

I think we both know that a Death Note style story cannot be completed in merely 10 pages sadly^^ And no colour rather. I'd like it filtered if you know what I mean (Grey and black)I understand that a 30 page comic would be expensive and I am willing to pay that ammount. Though it is still short pages to explain a DN story. Please give me the price of a 40 side comic instead^^

Yes, I can do it in greyscale for you, no problem at all.
For a 40 slide comic? Or a 40 page comic.
Because usually you could fit 40 slides onto around 7 or 8 pages. ^^
If you mean a 40 page comic, I would say the total cost would be $250, depending on how professionally you would like it printed.
If you would like the entire comic hand drawn and on A4 paper, in somewhat of a booklet, it would cost $250
But if you would like it professionally printed, I would need to hand draw each slide and most probably refurbish them on photoshop, and then print them onto gloss paper. This method would probably cost around $285 - $290 (depending on the cost of the needed materials)
