Description First real pic with the tablet... Don't know what I think yet... I cannot get lines to come out smooth, so I let this be sketchy (looks like I copied it off homework... not sure I'm happy...)
BUT I think the overall pic came out pretty good! Apart from my lines, I think Dee looks pretty awesome!

So, here you see our star Thoroughbred Stud "Northwest Dancer"

I needed something to practice working with the tablet, and since he's modeled after my real stud, I figured he could use some more love!

Oh and NOTE: If anyone is interested in a foal from this guy, he is open for breedings to Realistic mares only. (meaning realistic color and realistic breed [like a snow mustang] not just real breeds)

It'll just take you some practice to get them smooth as you can
You did quite a good job on this though, it looks great, even with those sketchy lines.

Thank you I'm working on a new piece at the moment, that I managed some smoother lines with, but there's still some sketchy spots... I've been thinking about going back to doing lines without the tablet, and just bringing the tablet in to color and do backgrounds, but I'm not giving up yet!

Hmm.. are you using a brush tool or a pencil tool?

Brush.

I try drawing in smooth lines (like smooth motion) but they turn out all squiggly...

Trouble getting smooth lines? it should be solved by zooming in very close to were you want to draw the line. Mind you I dont know what program you use and what tablet you use.

I'm using an old WACOM with Photoshop CS4
And I had zoomed way in on this piece, and it still came out sketchy if I only did one line, it was all wiggly

Ah, damn... I don't know what to recommend, you could try playing with the sensitivity settings, but I have never tried it before on my tablet, so I'm sorry I can't help!
