Description This is the new batch of horns I made tonight with the last of the clay I have on hand. I'll be painting as many as possible to bring to tomorrow's FurstState Furbowl event. I'll be setting up in the Artist alley around 7:30 or 8. Any that don't sell, as usual, will go up in my Etsy store (there are currently three pairs of painted horns still available there).

Left Column (from back): Curved "Magma" (Reds?), Short Straight. (Blues or Greens?)

Middle Column: 3 sets Straight "Magma" (will be red, blue, green), Short Straight (custom order).

Right Column: Curved organic twist (color?), Tall Straight (color?), 2 "mare" size Unicorn horns (Purple, White), "filly" size "zombie" unicorn horn (radioactive!), 2 "filly" size unicorn horns (purple, white).

The "magma" texture was used from the "zombie" unicorn horn, giving it a really decayed look. It will be colored in sick greens and greys :3 The other unicorn horns will be whites and purples.

Horns on the far left, and back right, have no set colors yet, so if you'll be there and have a request, or want me to set it aside for you to buy through paypal, let me know NOW. I'll be painting them Saturday morning.

How did you make these all? Did you make them out of Model Magic or regular clay, and do you cast them in molds to make?

Sorry for all the assorted questions: I just like to see the many ways people make these nifty accessories!

This set is made out of model magic, so they end up wonderfully light weight. I've started making ears as well, I use sculpey for those because it's easier to shape and add detail to.

I don't use any molds, everything is hand-shaped, detailed, and painted.

And how do these go in your hair? On a wire or headband? Sorry if I keep asking questions; I just like to see how people make stuff : )

I use a clear elastic so that you can wear them like a headband, but you don't see what's holding them up
