seeking silence and solace

it's been thirty six days (but who's counting)
since the last kiss i've tasted
on my drying, cracking lips.

i've been hungry for something moist and wet
and the dreams slide in and out, balancing,
delicately-, on that fence between nightmare
and sweet
sweet dream.

a maginificant smile, a blinding inner light-
oh, i am so stupid, such a childish, love struck girl,
i need light, live, live love-

in place of seeking former, full and empty arms,
i search, scourge for the bright light
in
   an
      innocent
               soul.
