Description Where as the Germans had the Walther PP and PPK as a pocket pistol, the Italians had come up with their own sometime during the era of World War 2. Beretta designed the M1934 as the standard issued pocket pistol of the Italian Armed Forces. This was due to the fact that they were impressed at the Walther PP series and desired not to lose a major contract to foreign powers. Later, the M1935 followed this gun, which despite it's identical appearance, the gun fired the .32 ACP. The gun served in the war and even after it as well. It wouldn't be until 1991 that this pistol ended service.

The Beretta M1934 was a small semi-automatic pistol, 6 inches in length, weighing int at 1 lb. 7 oz. Muzzle velocity of the pistol was 229 meters per second and it holds a magazine of 7 rounds in the magazine, plus one already chambered. The ammunition of the gun is that of the .380 ACP.

Didn't James Bond start off with an M1934 before switching to his iconic PPK?

James Bond's main carry pistol was a Beretta 418 which is smaller than the M1934, and it was a 6.35mm (.25 AP). When the novel 'Dr. No' came out, he went over to the PPK...
