Description
I produced this in my media experimentation class a while ago. It was one of only two successes I've had with a technique called the "Magic Bullet" Which consists of drawing directly on the illustration board with dark brown prismacolor, then painting over that with gouache or acrylic, and doing oil paint lift-out over that. Complicated? Perhaps, but it's actually a really fast technique, hence its name.
For some reason, I've never been able to repeat my success with it. Each time I've tried, I've either melted the prismacolor or had no luck lifting out the oil wash. I got the picture for this one directly off the internet, so it's a study. And yes, there is a bee in it. (To me, it looks like the bee's trying to fly up the bear's nose!)
