Description DARK ROOM

Welcome to my dark room
The box you abandoned me in
My shallow grave, unmarked coffin
Starvation eats me like a furious plague
Loneliness my companion stalks me
I call out but loudness shatters a fragile voice
I try to fight but have no choice
Weakness is my merciless killer
Cold air the soil upon my hidden grave
My helpless meow is no death’s slave
My debris is all that is left
In my dark room.

Welcome to your dark room
The cradle you are kept in
Guarded by soldiers made of tin
Lullabies on the mobile played by funeral drum,
Little angel with battered wings
You scream out but shouting smothers loving eyes
You reach up but giant’s hand undo family ties
Teddy bear the only mourner
Ting hands no fairytales to cling to
Black of death covers baby blues
Toys is all that is left
In your dark room

Welcome to my dark room
This chair you prop me up in
My tombstone back, wine glass of gin
Age suffocates me with eroding fumes
Grains in the hourglass blind me
I ring my bell but the sound is ignored
In desolate prisons where I am stored
Tiredness my unsympathetic relative
Winters blanket my shivering shroud
I speak out but I am not allowed to be proud
Rotting remains is all that is left
In my dark room

Welcome to my dark room
The mirror I stare in
My blusher covering pulverised skin
Key in the door chills me to the bone
Ring on my finger, noose round my neck
I prey to God with trembling palms
Footsteps on the stair my fire alarm
Love is clumsy with precious hearts
Lust watering thorns of fear
Another black eye and thick ear
Pieces of a broken heart is all that is left
In my dark room.

Welcome to the dark room
You do not want to come within
Full of deep fears and sin
Society is the sadist with the whip
Dreams are the murderer from inside you
We all cry but turn our heads away
Our summer skies turn a colourless grey
The biggest bully is the doubting conscious
Low esteem carved into the gravestone
In the darkness we are all alone
But look around
We are all in the dark room.

Very nice. I like how you made it dark, but not bloody, gory, unbearable dark. Lovely.

Damn that was like unfathomable doom right there, staring me in the face. I tried to imagine everything. That's how I understand poems such as yours, just sit back and let it flow, and go through my head as if I'm there. I..could actually imagine myself in this dark room, and somehow each section made it worse, and more gruesome. Your description is definitely wonderful, I must say, and I think I'm going to have nightmares tonight
