Description Point commission for


I hereby present you: Alfrad the horse I did draw earlier hydraequus.deviantart.com/art/… and I completely adore this character His design was a bit challenging, though but I hope I didn't make many mistakes


I was also a bit  experimenting with a 'softer' shading style, what do you think about it ?

Wonderful! I love the colors. Especially how deep you made the black look! And I think the shading is veeeery nice, especially for pieces with a lighter/warmer background

Oooh another Derwent user! I'm always surprised to hear that someone uses that brand, I mostly see Prismacolor users on here I do want that pencil, though

No, not a user I own literary one pencil and it's the black one I used here for shading
I mostly use Koh-i-noor coloured pencils, although I'd love to be a Derwent user, but it costs too much and I'm not a professional artist so can live without Derwents

In most art shops, you can buy these pencils separately, as I did

But Koh-i-noor are good! I mean, I've never used them (I want to try them, though), but I only heard good of them, so far. And I never saw them in any shops around here, so they can't be bad I use Derwent because it's the cheapest quality thing I could get here, but they're so worth the money! Though I only have a little set (I don't draw often, I've had this one for at least two years now). If you ever have spare money, I strongly suggest them, proffesional artist or not!
