All of my friends are fawning over either Fennekin or Chespin. (mostly Fennekin) All this insanity over these two lesser types is driving me crazy. It makes me sick. As a water loyalist, I will endure, and choose Froakie despite its apparent ugliness.If you're going to choose Froakie too, please comment! ^^
ps: if you're choosing chespin or fennekin please don't be offended by me or my words

Little did they know that they would later be overshadowed by Froakie.
(P.S. Froakie was my Starter from the beginning. I never found Chespin that appealing and Fennekin was really just 'eh'.)

Then froakie evolves into the awesome greninga.Then chespin and fennekin evolve into the ugly pokemon that are delphox and chesnaught. Look who's not cute now XD

awesome to you? 'Cuz to me delphox is so ugly! Sorry dude, and to me fennekin is sorta boring and all it is is a fennik fox, nothing else. But I do have to say that braxien is amazing. And btw its not wierd greninga has a long tounge its a frog pokemon bro.

I chose Froakie because my husband and brother chose the 'cuter' starters, but I had learned my lesson when I thought Oshawott was dumb looking. So I embraced froakie and named him Sir Croaks. Now that I have fully trained him, I couldn't be happier with my choice!

dotty's sis talking: i don't currently have this game (or any pokemon game for that matter) but i plan on getting pokemon x & y as soon as i saved up the money to go buy it. i know the first starter im going to pick when i get the game is Froakie because i think its cute/cool and a water type will most likely help a lot, and with it i will make my dream pokemon teams true!

I did pick Froakie in X. Froakie has the coolest looking final evo. Chesnaught looks like the offspring of a porcupine and a turtle. And what's with that frumpy dress Delphox wears? Also, as a water type, Froakie beats Fennekin hands down, and later on s/he can learn Ice Beam and Extrasensory to counter Chesnaught. Froakie rules!!

I've been Team Froakie since the starters were first revealed. In competitive play, Greninja is the most useful out of the fully evolved Kalos starters because of its high Speed, good offenses and Protean.

From what I've seen if the fan base were split into parts, 3/6 have said they like Fennekin, 2/6 have preferred froakie, and than everyone keeps hating on Chespin.
