Lucy and Desi - America's first interracial television couple. Growing up, I thought my parents were the real life Arnaz/Ricardos. So, I drew a tribute. It was very fun to work on and it inspired me to draw a few more iconic interracial relationships.The hat was a bitch though.
Can you guess who's next...? ;D

I am a HUGE LUCY fan she is all around me in my computer room, I collect. I have everything from Old glamor photography of her,marbles, books, stamps, posters, you name it! I might have to see how much a print of this is you did an amazing job, I love her expression. Wow I just keep going back up to the pic, the detailing is just amazing!!! So who's next Marilyn? James Dean? Keep me posted and let me know if you have prints made. PS my middle name is even Lucille and My Daughters, and both her Grandmother and Great Grand Mothers is And her Cousin. lol

Oh wow, you really are a Lucy fan! There's no doubt - anyone with a television knows I Love Lucy! Thank you for your compliments! As for who's next - I'll be working with interracial couples, so Marilyn nor James Dean will be up next. Though they are fun to draw, I'm sure!

8x10 or 8.5" x 11, that's what you have it drawn on. Will depend on pricing, I don't have alot for spending on my collection lately. Let me know please. Looks like your getting some really good feedback on it!!

Looks like Lucy has some 'splaining to do! The classics never die, and the I Love Lucy show was a classic as they get. Lucille Ball was so far ahead of her time as a female comedienne, and from what I've read, was a real business woman, too.
As with your other work, I love the detail and shading on this. I'm a sucker for black-and-white art - especially when the shading is this good. You lose the textures and depth when you go to color. Great job!
