This Ronin Warriors picture isn't based on anything in particular. I sketched it while watching the first few episodes of the series, then finished it on the computer.Ryo is protecting Yuli from a barrage of energy, probably from Talpa. As for what's shielding the energy, I see a sort of force field generated by the power of the armor and Ryo himself.
I was pleased with how this one came out, particularly the lighting and shadow. And I reiterate that armor is evil.

Off to the side? ; ) I don't like drawing the helmets, so I don't, often. Ryo's helmet hides nearly all of his face.

i understand, but i also like their visor masks, maybe they should wear them for big boss fights like when ryu was fighting anubis in the volcano, cool work my friend
