The whole thing with Pikachu was from day one they were fried by the power of like 20 pikachus at once. There was never anything "super special" about Ash's pikachu. Jessie and James are just retarded XD

This is quite amusing, but I do have an honest-to-goodness question. I haven't watched Pokemon (faithfully) in YEARS... was this Giovanni in the first season, or later on? And... what's the real context of this picture... he almost actually... looks like he's grieving.

Ah, okay, I know I asked, but I did some investigating via Bulbapedia, but nothing definitive came up. He's probably just embarrassed or exasperated by another fumble courtesy of his subordinates. 
I tried looking for tidbits on his past, but the articles didn't turn up anything, except that in one of the mediums his mother ran Team Rocket before him... there doesn't seem to be any family dynamics or depth of character beyond that. Unless you're unfamiliar with the whole Mewtwo fiasco...
