So! I decided to make a species!~Dracolins are part cat and part dragon. The more dragon they are, the rare they are.Β
Dracolins are a closed species. So no making your own, sorry~ If you see anyone that have their own that wasn't authorized by me, I'd appreciate it if you tell me, then I will deal with them on my own time.
A Dracolin's wings are away tinted, and the tint is always the color of the claws. Their fire (yes they can breath fire) is always the color of their eyes.
Dracolins live a very long time; they are part dragon after all. The common life span of a dracolin is around 100 years old. Their baby years are normal, like a cats almost. Around maybe a year old is when they start to grow more slowly. Their child years are from 3 years of age to 50 years of age. Their teen years are age 50-200 or 300 depending on the dracolin, and at that point they start growing in their spikes at their elbow joints and knee joints. That is when they are considered a young adult. Around the age of 500 the males grows a chest spike, signifying that are a fully mature adult.
The size of a fully mature adult is around the size of an adult male tiger or lion.
[EDIT] NOTICED I DIDN'T PUT THE TAIL TYPES WRITTEN. THE COMMON IS FUR, THE RARE IS A FIN, AND THE ULTRA RARE IS FIRE.

While creating the genes for the ears, I came across a problem and would like to have permission to add a common ear type. It is the same as normal ears, but slimmer and taller by only a small amount. I hope this is okay, but if not, that is fine.
Or if it is better, wider ears like a Several

I know you do, but I am creating the genome and I got stuck. I can try to reform the ear locus, but that way, it makes one rare ear type more rare than the other. So either I reform it or create a different gene that can exist. It won't change the common ear except for size.

Okay and what different areas are colored? I have eyes, claws, and main fur.

mmmm well the wing tint is always the same color as their claws. the wings them selves are usually the color of their fur and skin. and the horns and spikes are the same color as their claws. Of and their fire is always the same color as their eyes. and markings really don't have a major effect.

yeap. normal wings are sort-of bat like but at the same time not. bat wings are rare, and feathered wings are ultra rare.

Now, is the possibility to mix and match common withΒ ultra rare pieces (Like a dracolin with no spikes but feathered wings?)) allowed?Β Or must common Dracolins have common pieces only?

Now that I think about it, maybe it should be genetic, like some can and some can't. Or maybe older ones that don't have spikes in those areas are genetic mutations, hmm....

You know how sometimes there is someone with like blue eyes is in a family that has had brown or hazel eyes for generations? Genetic Mutation...unless that isnt possible. Really wouldn't know genes are not my forte.

No, it is very possible for someone to carry a certain recessive gene for multiple generations only for it to show up where everyone has the dominant trait.
