In the picture, Amare is wielding a green-bladed shoto (a short lightsaber) whilst summoning the power of Force Drain (shown as a raging flame in her hand). The drain acts as a way to weaken and intimidate her foes, and also doubles as a defence against incoming Force powers (makes for a handy light source as well). The shoto was taken from the corpse of a Jedi padawan she murdered, and was modified to suit her personal tastes. The standard lightsaber at her side was the original weapon of her master, Darth Serus, back when he served the Republic as a heroic Jedi.
