Description
Finally got around to drawing the sister piece of Heavy Damage ! The original theme was about architecture + fantasy settings and the old sister piece I drew for it back then (never published online) I wasn't satisfied with, so I drew something new now that I have the time to.
Bitter about uni robbing me 7 years of when I could have been drawing and improving, I decided to try to do a piece for my portfolio. I never drew a back view of a character, but it felt nice to go out of my comfort zone again I don't think it's my best work because of it but it we all need to start somewhere.
I don't think I drew anything Naval Supremacy related yet? I thought of this concept a year ago, a sort of 'what if everything went wrong and Eric was put in charge of Waterland?' I found this alternate timeline more exciting than the actual story I had planned back then, so I took it as a sign and worked around the plot to include the Naval Supremacy arc as now a canon part of the plot.
Decided to draw Eric facing away for once I didn't want to deal with drawing expressions. However, it ended up having an unpredictable effect: it adds a sense of ominousness and uncertainty. While Eric is usually a kind and gentle person, he's willing to take it far to punish the enemies of Waterland
