Description
This little lady was a commission from my buddy shoomlah - a gift for her parents, who are just the sweetest people - of their old family dog, Sparky (who has occasionally been depicted in Claire's art ).
I had already sculpted their younger dog, Olive , as a surprise gift for Claire, secretly requesting reference photos from her parents. Conspiring with them was so fun!

Sparky passed away last year, and Claire and I really wanted to do this same thing for them. This time Claire and her sister sent me the photos I needed and we surprised their parents with this tiny likeness, lovingly detailed with Sparky's silly eyes, twisty tail, and variously-colored toenails.

I'm really happy with how this sculpt turned out, but even happier to get to make such a meaningful gift and about how thrilled they were when they opened that box.

Made with Super Sculpey and Original Sculpey polymer clays, over aluminum foil and wire armature.
