He's my baby, and I'm so proud to own such an amazing horse. I can promise you Blaze and I have the bond that Link and Epona have; it's such a beautiful thing

its been almost 2 years for me since she passed away and today she would have been 10 years old anyway good news i found a beautiful paint today and am going into town right now to pick her up am so happy, crying happy tears

that if it was necessary i would get a job and pay it but i wanted to return. i wuld give everything to have my own horse T-T
and everybody tells me it costs to much to have i horse... but i don't care... i mean... that is what i want, my own horse ya know what i mean?

Oh yes, I believe I started lessons 10, maybe 11 years ago, and wanted one ever since I saw one (when I was maybe around 4 or 5). So after 7? years I convinced enough to get one. It was mostly because this guy is who I bonded with. I lessened on him for a while and we fell IN LOVE

I started horseback riding when I was 4 and 5! Then for some dumb butt reason I hate to quit. Now, thank god I get to start them back up again! But my parents told me that if I had been riding all this time I would have had my own horse by now.

I just have two big questions off the top of my head!
My biggest question is when do you know you are ready to buy, or lease your own horse? And the other is how do you tell them they did something wrong (not while riding)?

You're ready when you look into the eyes of a horse and you can see their soul. When that happens, something inside you should click, that you will do whatever it takes to keep this horse happy and healthy, and will devote the time to make a true bond with them, if one isn't already there (oh yes, I'm sappy when it comes to this stuff 
And for the other question, I usually give him a stern verbal warning. If he doesn't listen, a flick or tap on the nose. If he does something he's not supposed to do, or that I'm not pleased with at all, I crack him on either the hindquarters or the neck, but he rarely does anything I don't ask for
