There's no difference between male and female in terms of proneness to diseases.
However, females are more susceptible to death of stress, egg bound, calcium deficiency, among other things when breeding. So if you ever think about breeding, any type of snake or animal, don't think halfheartedly about it as it's a very big decision.

That question I'm not 100% sure on, I'm pretty sure the answer is "No, they don't just make infertile eggs like birds, chameleons, etc", but that you might have to do some more research on to be 100% sure.
