I call this one "Fuck off DeviantArt".

Thought I had forgotten to make one this year, huh? Nope, I was just unsure.

For those who have been living under a rock: posting art online isn't what it used to be.
Social media uses algorithms that supress our work. We constantly have to produce and engage, everyday every week.
dA, the ONE place where we thought we were welcome, really proved to us how little they care earlier this fall, when they introduced an AI generator that would use all art on dA unless you actively opted out. Thankfully they changed it to make it opt-in, but it still shows how out of touch dA is with the entire art community. Artists aren't exactly welcome on any social media anymore, but dA was supposed to be OUR space and we still got fucked over.

And I hate that I am genuinely upset by this.

With that said: PLEASE keep making art for FUN and for YOURSELF!! BE CRINGE!! Draw your OCs, draw your ships, WHO CARES if it looks bad, IT'S FOR YOU!!! Post it anyways!! NOT posting isn't exatcly gonna give you more attention so JUST POST STUFF!!!!

I may be cringe but I am FREE.
