Name: Bei

Bending Technique: Healing (small-self)--Bei can heal small injuries (scratches, bruises, etc.) on himself.
Personality: Bei is an extremely pleasant fellow, constantly smiling and always happy to help a stranger. He has a very strong sense of morality, and is very motivated to reward those he deems "good" and help improve those he sees as "bad". However, as relatively nice as this all sounds, Bei is actually a rather unsettling individual when it comes down to it. He never stops smiling, regardless of the situation or his own well-being, and while he is happy to help "good" people, his treatment of "bad" people usually entails stopping them from ever being bad again (which he sees as a gift to those people, an extremely kind action). Generally speaking, if you're being "good" in his eyes, Bei will seem like an extremely pleasant person and a very good friend. If you're "bad", however...
Past: Bei grew up in the foggy swamp with his parents and younger brother. His parents instilled in him a very strong sense of morality, which served him well for much of his life. However, as he grew up, he started to take this a little too seriously, pleasantly scolding his friends and even adults.

At first, his parents thought nothing of this and simply gave him gentle warnings that such behavior was impolite. This seemed to quell Bei's actions...for a short time. Then he began to take things a little farther. His parents began to find dead animals around their home. When they asked Bei if he knew anything about them, he simply said the animals had been bad and now they wouldn't be anymore. Unsettled, they told him to never do this again.

Then, one morning, they woke up and couldn't find Bei's brother. They looked everywhere, searching all of his favorite spots, checking with his friends, and finally they found him lying in some shallow water, drowned. Horrified, they asked Bei if he knew anything about what happened. Smiling, Bei simply said his brother had been bad and now he wouldn't be anymore.

Devastated, they sent Bei away from the swamp, not wanting him to be punished but not wanting to have their son's murderer around them. So, at the age of 15, Bei wandered out into the world.

Present: Bei spent the next five years going from town to town, bring his particular brand of kindness. He was constantly being kicked out of towns, just barely escaping imprisonment. Finally he found his way to Jingdou, disheartened. No one understood that he was just doing good things for people! He was saving all those animals and children and people from ever being bad again. Wasn't that a kindness?

A man overheard him musing to himself about these things and after a discussion, he introduced himself as Father Gurien and invited him to join the Crucible of Gaia. Excited to find someone who finally understood his actions, Bei agreed.

Future: Bei fully intends to continue helping people. He has subscribed to Crucible's doctrine and has begun to label other Crucibles as consistently "good" and the parasites as "bad", and he is ready to help them recover from their wicked behavior.

Other Notes:
Though he is constantly smiling and seems very pleasant, he has a tendency to keep all other feelings supressed. This means that he tends to get headaches when overly stressed or feeling an otherwise strong emotion.

Bei's hands are often more busy than he realizes. He will often heal small injuries without even thinking about it, and he is usually turning over some object or another if he can find something to pick up.

Woo! Bei finally makes his appearance. And he is crazy.
