Techs bring out weapons, Weapons bring out wars, Wars bring out everything. Tech is everything, it might not be just wars and destruction, but the future as well. (You know what I mean)
That doesn't mean that new techs only bring out wars, wars will continue until humanity are wiped out. But "if one knows how to use them properly, he and his people will end up in triumph with the new world" (Gezei said)
btw: when you decided to design the Ranger, make sure that his gun is no less awesome than the one in this pic
