Description
Gotham City. A world without a Batman, but also a world that has met the return of an old foe. A man named Slade.*

Fifty years ago, when the legendary Teen Titans were at their youngest, Slade was one of their first enemies. A mysterious man with unknown reasons for his actions, Slade came very close to taking over the world of organized crime time after time, only to always be stopped by the Titans.

However, during a battle with Titan member Raven's father, Trigon, a deal was struck between the Titans and Slade which eventually led to the super villian being defeated. That was the last time the world had known the hand of Slade. Until now...

In the present day, with his new apprentice, the Outsider known as the Ravager, Slade has left his impression on Gotham City, leading to the already crippled by crime city feeling even more overwhelmed.

Terry McGinnes, the man formerly known as Batman, simply refuses to face the world that is before him. After Azrael's attack, he simply couldn't suit up for the sake of his family. Not yet...

The Titans couldn't be dead. It was the words Jack Drake (aka Robin) told himself as he went out to find the men and women who used to be Teen Titans. It took days, but overtime, Robin eventually came to meet most of them.

*The Flash, though very pleasant and helpful to Robin, said that he always considered himself more of a Leaguer then a Titan, turning down Robin's offer to reform the team.

*The Tempest seemed to have gained quite a bitterness to Earthdwellers following the disapperance of Aquaman (despite what his sister, Marina, thinks as a member of the Justice League Unlimited). Harsh and straight to the point with Robin, Tempest also declined.

*Karen Beecher, Bumblebee, also declined to join the reunion, not wanting to turn her back on her student who needed her more. Though she did invite Robin to join the HIVE whenever he'd want.

*Raven and Starfire could not be found.

*Victor Stone, still CEO of StoneTech, gave a warm welcoming to Robin, saying that he would love to reunite with his team. But he knows that he's no longer a superhero. He can't simply turn his back on his business.

It all seemed hopeless until Robin came across Garfield Logan, aka, Beast Boy. Getting tired of having Z-List roles in movies and television, Gar said he'd love to re-join the Titans, officially joining up with Robin. Soon, Gard and Robin returned to Dick Grayson's appartment, only to find Dick in the middle of a fight with Ravager. With Robin and Gar's help, the three were able to subdue Ravanger, asking her what led to her change in heart.

Ravanger informed the Trio that she doesn't WANT to help Slade. She has to. She informs them that Slade is actually Slade Wilson, prized hunter and criminal warlord...as well as her father. When she was born, Slade injected her body witht he same nanites that controlled Terra decades earlier. However, the nanites had never kciked in until now, as Slade used Ravanger's knowledge of fellow heroes to attack Dick Grayson, his former moral nemesis.

Witht he information that Slade was back, Nightwing knew that he had no choice. The Titans had to reunite, if only for one time only. However, he knew it wasn't going to be easy. Dusting off his old Titans communicator, Nightwing attempted to contact Starfire, who simply hung up on him. Raven was also impossible to get in touch with, but after a bit of convincing, Victor Stone FINALLY signe don as well.

With Three of the original Titans (and Rose's help), they were able to find Slade's base in the former standing of Arkham Asylum (funny how fate continued to bring Robin's back there) but once the 4 heroes slipped in, they came face to face with Slade's surprise: dozens and dozens of Slade's androids. Outnumbered and out of practice, the Titans got slammed down. Hard. However, just as the killing blow was about to be dealt, the miracle arrived.

Starfire returned.

Saving her former teammates and reducing the androids to dust, Starfire informed them that she scanned the area and couldn't find Slade, having must have left before they arrived. Still cold and bitter to Nightwing, Starfire said that she was only there to keep her former friends from killing themselves, as nothing between them had changed since the day Grayson broke her heart.

The re-formed Titans were stumped. They had no idea where to even begin looking for Slade, but then, she spoke.

"Titans Tower..."

The team turned around in shock to discover Raven standing amongst them. Raven stated that when she went into exile, she tapped into what Trigun's mind once was, and therefore, was able to see into Slade's mind as well. She knew that he was now operating out of the former Titans Tower, which was patched up and now acts as an office building in San Fransisco.

With a quick teleportation thanks to Raven, the 6 members of the reformed Teen Titans stood together. Nightwing. Cyborg. Beast Boy. Starfire. Raven. And their newest member, Robin. As they stood on the steps leading to Titans tower, Nightwing simply had one command:

"Titans! Together!"
