Description Another revisition of an old work.
A Nyctosaurus skimming the seas in search for food.
Nyctosaurus ("night lizard"), was a pterosaur contemporary and slightly similar to the more famous Pteranodon. However, its most distinctive characteristic was the presence of a strange antler-like head crest that some suggest that might have supported a soft tissue "sail". This sail could have been used to catch wind and provide extra aceleration and speed, like a windsurf sail.

Creo que era mucho mas pequeño que Pteranodon... segun yo rondaba los dos o tres metros de envergadura...

Now this is one of those pictures that I would think would look great colored, but maybe that's just me Either way, the scope of it is just fantastic.
