what did you use? well, I thought in the human's knowledge limited by his own lack of imagination. guess we've different points of view xD
I like the fact that you've drawn a man without skin, completely naked and powerless.

Well, if you see the human being as having a Soul (above physical laws) then imagination would be the only limit. However if you think of the Universe as a physical system and all objects in it bound by physical laws then the limit is the actual physical system that makes up your own body - brain - mind. Thus you cannot imagine stuff that your body (or the laws of nature) won't let you imagine.
The second seems to me closer to reality... but I believe we reach the limit of imagination before we reach the physical limit. And that's mostly because life is rarely a race towards perfection... and you still have to eat, sleep and work for a better world, higher social status and the future generations of consumers (this last part was a half-joke).

Great piece, i rly like the medium, and great idea too, and you bring up a great point about imagination being bound to the laws of nature. Have you read The Paradise War? It's a pretty good book, i guess. It brings up a similar point about our existence. There is this other world that is completely pure and our entire existence is based on this archetype. Therefore, our minds and imagination, etc is limited to what we try to duplicate from this world. it also brings up the point of how we corrupt everything. imagine (lol) being able to imagine anything past what exists within the laws of the universe. it brings up the whole idea of planar existence and alternate realities. personally i want to disagree with you but i think you might be right.

Damn... forgot. I used black pen on poor quality paper. And then worked a little on the contrast and colors after scanning it.
