Thank you!
and yes, I am aware that they are people, even if they are mostly reconditioned clones and test tube babies. I was meaning that soldiers are often metaphorically compared to robots in that they have their orders, they must follow them without remorse. I should know that they aren't robots, I know about fifteen in real life! My father is a professional charity costumist. He started with Darth Vader, then stormtrooper, biker scout, commander, fighter pilot and then captain jack sparrow...don't ask. I know people that own professional movie quality kit...even if some are held together with duck tape sometimes. I casually walk past full alien costumes, knowing these people. It's awesome.

Apologies for the late reply friend. It wasn't purposeful.
I had to study war art a two years ago along with my class. We studied Picasso's guernica and Wyndham Lewis. Who was a ww1 artist. His drawings were very much like robotic soldiers and how they had orders to do and nothing else. The take was that people expect a soldier to do what they are told. To one side, they are the protectors, they keep you safe and so it's wrong for them to be affected by their enemies blood on their soul. On the other, they are the monsters, they are the things with no emotion or soul, just robots that don't feel or take enjoyment from your people's pain.
at the end of the day, people expect you to be enotionless and robotic. But you are just as human as the day you were born, and that makes you humane. It's impossible to be a cold blood killer and still be human.

New school year, very busy.
yeah, I generally enjoy drawing scenes or depictions of both sides of the coin. It's challenging and though provoking at the same time.
