very nice image! i was planning on going out tonight to get some long exposure night shots. oh it would help if i had a tripod . . . i'll see if i can get by for tonight lol!

love how it's faintly picked out some stars. the tree has blocked the street light out perfectly.

aww man, i wish I could do the same and just go outside and take a pic of anything(but i think that would take the fun out of taking great pictures ), too bad i'm in Puerto Rico Maybe i'll go live in Alaska or New Zealand.
Love the pic

hehe, i guess I'm just bored of Puerto Rico. I'm sure I'm not the only one that says the same thing about where they live. People can never be completely satisified.

Hm 70 seconds, so that was all manual i'm guessing? How'd you get the right amount?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

hypophotogenic In reply to Klenex [2006-04-03 05:52:35 +0000 UTC]

Partial or spot meter on the area(s) of the scene you would like to expose for, since the in camera meter only goes to 30s use that and work out whatever extra stops you need in your head. Or use a handheld meter. Cheers

nice. i liek this a helluva lot. very nice contrast edit, youve take a a fairly boring scene and used the color in such a way as to make it something i want to jump into. i wish there was some sort of critique i could give it, but im not amazing with photography, so anything id say would be just counter productive. nice job. you get a fav.

The lighting here is beautiful! I love how the way the light hits the tree makes the colours of the leaves really come out. I'm sure you are well aware of this, but I will tell you anyways... That sky is just amazing! The lines and colours in it are absolutely stunning. Wonderful!
