Heh, Stromer's cow, nice nickname Aegyptosaurus is definitely a memorable sauropod from my Childhood.
Ernst Stromer seems like such a great Paleontologist, what with finding a majority of African species (Kem-Kem Beds, is that right?) I recently watched an amazing documentary featuring the 2014 revamped Spinosaurus, but also centered around Ernst Stromer's life. It's really cool how they had recovered Stromer's journal in Germany
I hope to learn more about him.(And more about the bountiful bone beds of Northern Africa. Along with some of the more elusive Dinosaurs of these regions)
I just love your depictions of Aegyptosaurus and Paralititan, because you made the Sauropods seem like animals, and not like strange creatures from another time. Dinosaurs are much more than that, and you represent this VERY well. The amount of realism you put into these Sauropods (And all of your stunning work) is truly amazing. It really gives me a real grasp for how large and unique some of these animals were.
Sorry for the ridiculously long comment, keep up the amazing work, you are truly talented

Mind if I use this as reference for a series of spot illustrations I'm doing on african dinosaurs? not too many other great reconstructions out there

This one reminds me about the dwarf island dinosaurs in one of your older arts. They are actually smaller, right?

Oh yes, the pygmy sauropod one is even shorter than an average adult man, and may got broken leg if we try to ride them

I was lucky enough that a scientist was able to send me some of Stomers original writings.

Aegyptosaurus had surprising slender legs, the femur could have a bit more meat but the rest is very close to elephants and the myology of other sauropods.

Looks good. I'm exited for Jurassic World, I've gotten over the no-feathers at this point.

stromer was a cow for not finding the rest of spinosaurus and letting what he had be incinerated in the museum it was kept in!

Well the Bahariya foramtion normally don't contain complete skeletons and he actually
wanted the fossils at save place but the museum direction refused his wish

This dinosaur definitely deserves more attention. By the way, why do you call it "Stromer's cow"?

Just because of the coloration and because it was Stromers only herbivore dinosaur. Not really good reason I know
but I think I needed something lightweight after that Teaser now Trailer.

But that was the 90s! And they kinda tried putting a few feathers on the Utahraptors in the 3rd movie, albeit not very many. Bunny hands?

A few feathers on the head... and they still called them "Velociraptor" despite the size and proportions.
Also there have been evidence for feathers on the arms and they just put some primitive protofeathers on the head in WWD Ornitholestes-style? WTF?
Yeah, bunny hands. Because the hand palms should show inwardsimages.wikia.com/recipes/image… , not downwardswww.zooborns.com/.a/6a01053564… ...

Could you link to a picture of a JP raptor with "bunny hands". I've tried, but the only ones I can find with "bunny hands" are fan art. Sorry. One from the 3rd movie would be preferable.

Obviously I'm still a bit confused about which part of the arm we're talking about. Sorry. I'm not exactly a dinosaur enthusiast. So are the arms supposed to be further back, more folded against its body like a bird? Or are we only talking about the orientation of the hands? Could raptors hold there hands in front of them at all, or was that anatomically impossible for them? I guess that's what confuses me.

Well, isn't it just an added twist/money making ploy? I mean, they had to do SOMETHING to make the movie different from the last three. Although, personally, I would have preferred they not create a new dinosaur, or at least not reveal it in the trailer. If they were going to make up a new dinosaur, I would have preferred a naturally occurring, never discovered dino sapient of some sort. That would have been a more enjoyable twist.
