Description
Inspired by a wolf head tattoo I saw on a Wiccan forum called Weavers, I decided to make my own tattoo. I know it isn't very good but I'm proud of it but I stuffed up the Pentagram badly.First tattoo attempt ever.O_o
Note: The pentagram, although many of you might believe relates to the devil and satanism, actually represents the four basic elements (wind, water, earth and fire) plus a pantheistic(God or in this case Goddess) spiritual being such as Gaia or Mother Earth. The pentagram is also used for protection, to banish energy, or to bring it to you, depending on how it's drawn.

I heard that the Pentagram was a symbol for Female but it was changed when Christians took over the land, then they made it to the Devil's symbol. that's about the time when there were the 'Witch Hunts' with pilgrims i believe.

And as far as ppl associating the pentagram with satanism, its thanks to Anton LeVay that they do, he used the pentagram becuase he knew witches were hated by the Church. he then drew a goats head into the inverted pentagram and wrote symbols along the ring. those who cld not draw the entire symbol, simply drew it inverted and thus began societys fixation of the pentagram meaning satanism not Wiccan or peganism in general.

this is brilliant. wolves are my soul animal, i'm getting a pentagram in the middle of my back for protection, and i'm a solitary eclectic wiccan as well and well it does irk me to an extreme when people ask me if i worship the devil since i have a pentagram necklace that i haven't taken off since my initiation.

No, I dont think that makes you a creep. In fact I have been Wicca for 4 years now. I feel it is past time that people understand the real meaning behind the pentagram. I wear one on my neck for protection, and I rarely take it off. It is like a security blanket for me (so to speak). If I had a dollar for every time some jerk-off asked me if I worship Satan, turn people into frogs, or eat children... well, you get the idea. It just makes me sick. So thank you for trying to keep the public well-informed.
On a personal note, I have an affinity to animals, the wolf in particular. I think this design is magnificent!

No, even the pentagram isn't the symbol for Satanism.
I'm a Solitary Eclectic Wiccan, so yes, I know what I am talking about.
I hate how people associate upside down pentacles with Satanism: Paganism used the symbol first. Look it up.

I know the Pentagram isn't to do with satan, but alot of people think it is, and it is often used that way. But I know better, I've studied too, and alot of people assosiate the inverted pentagram with satanism, I don't.
