Description
I'll try to make Disney/Pixar characters in young and stylish concepts, some kind of "students", something like the new Pixar's Movie: Monster University.Esmeralda has been dancing since she was little. She loves ballet and exotic dances. She love mixing dance styles and for this, usually train with Aladdin (B-Boy)
(sound familiar? Ballerina+b-boy ... Step Up XD)

I have modified a few things in the picture. I've drawn a longer neck, smaller feet and more stylized figure (not so SD)
I think the biggest problem is the hair just because she have a lot of... ¿gypsy hair? XD

I do understand.
But you have to understand that the word "Gypsy" is an actual slur that the Romani's DO NOT like
and the Europeans still use it because they think they could. (They shouldn't. NO ONE SHOULD.)
Romanis are trying to educate the public to never use that slur as a definition of their race,
the name "Gypsy" was created by the Europeans to instill stereotype and degrade Roma people and their culture.
The Disney film should have never used that slur at all! Just because the book used that slur doesn't mean it's a nice word.
The book is old and uses racist connotation, which should not be acceptable all today.
If you really want to show Homage to Esmeralda, just say she is Roma woman who fights against an evil, hypocritical, racist priest
who tried to commit genocide by burning all Romani people whole, while continuing to say the word "Gypsy" as another method of demeaning
and discriminating.
Which, sadly, Romanis still face discrimination to this day.

I LOVE the Disney film of The Hunchback of Notre Dame. I love the story and music! I love Quasi and Esmeralda!
Just like I love Disney film Pochantes.
But I am aware of the discrimination and racism towards Native Americans and Romanis.

It's okay. That is why we must try to learn and educate ourselves.
Why do you think the baseball team "Redskin" is controversial because that word
is a slur against Native Americans! The team deludes themselves into thinking it's not. (BUT IT IS)
So that is we educate ourselves to fight against prejudice and racism.
I'm trying to educate myself as well.
It is heavy but it is necessary.

(the college concept) you see Gypsy' is still a lifestyle in the 20th century just not very well known there are MANY ways this concept would work!

Very neat design. Just a tip for the future, pointe shoe ribbons only goes up to the ankle. Common misconception though

I adore Esmeralda so much! And not to be picky- but well, I am. I was a ballerina for 9 years, and pointe shoes are only laced at the ankle. This is to help assist the ankle since going on pointe can be dangerous (if not done properly) and the laces keep the ankles relatively stable so injury is less likely. Other than that I ADORE THIS!!
